Description

The reports tab allows for four different types of reports to be generated, network status, agent, target, and scheduled test reports.

Procedure To Generate A Report

First, click on the Reports tab:

In the upper right corner, click the Generate Report button.

The report wizard appears. Choose between a network status, agent, target, and scheduled test report.

Network Status Report

To generate a network status report, first fill in the name of the report:

Select agents or agent groups to add to the report:

Select targets to add to the report:

Choose the time period in which the report should be run:

Click Save in the upper right corner to generate the report:

Agent Report

To generate an agent report, first fill in the name of the report:

Select an agent:

Choose a time period:

Click Generate Report:

Target Report

To generate a target report, first fill in the name of the report:

Select a target:

Select a time period:

Click Generate Report:

Scheduled Test Report

To generate a scheduled test report, first fill in the name of the report:

Select the type of scheduled test, Iperf, network speed, or VoIP:

Select one agent or any number of scheduled tests:

Select a time period:

Click Generate Report:

Report List View

The report list view is where to see all the reports that have been generated. Users can search by report name, filter reports, bulk delete reports, and generate reports.

Click the table row to view the report or click the button on the right side to select View or Delete:

Enter text in the field to search by report name:

Reports can be filtered by clicking the filter button. Reports can be filtered by:

  • Date Created

  • Report Type

  • My Report (reports generated by the current logged in user)

Users can delete an individual report by clicking the actions button for the individual report and deleting it. Users can delete multiple reports at once by clicking on the bulk delete button:

Report Details

After clicking the report's row or the View button, the report will appear.

Network Status Report

Network status reports consist of two sections:

  • Agents

  • Targets

The agent section consists of information about the agents included in the report:

  • Availability (Percent)

  • Average Download (mbps)

  • Average Upload (mbps)

  • Average Latency (ms)

  • Critical Alerts

  • Performance Alerts

The target section consists of information about the targets included in the report:

  • Average Ping (ms)

  • Average DNS (ms)

  • Average HTTP (s)

  • Average Traceroute (hops)

  • Critical Alerts

  • Performance Alerts

Metrics with less than 2% failed will have a green checkmark. Metrics with greater than 2% failed will have a red triangle.

Agent Report

The agent report consists of six sections:

  • WiFi Performance

  • Agent Information

  • Targets

  • Incidents

  • Network Speed

  • Test Performance

The WiFi performance section consists of information about the wireless networks connected to the agent:

  • Passed

  • Failed

  • Time To Connect (s)

The agent information section has information about the agent attached to the report:

  • NetBeez version the agent is on

  • Kernel version

  • IPv4

  • IPv6

  • External IPv4

  • Availability

The target section consists of information about the targets included in the report:

  • Average Ping (ms)

  • Average DNS (ms)

  • Average HTTP (s)

  • Average Traceroute (hops)

  • Critical Alerts

  • Performance Alerts

The incident section consists of information about incidents that occurred in the time period of the report.

The network speed section consists of network speed information for the agent:

  • Download (mbps)

  • Upload (mbps)

  • Latency (ms)

The test performance section consists of test information for the agent:

  • Ping (ms)

  • DNS (ms)

  • HTTP (s)

  • Traceroute (hops)

Target Report

The target report consists of four sections:

  • Incidents

  • Agents

  • Target Performance

  • Agent Performance

The incident section consists of information about incidents that occurred in the time period of the report.

The agent section consists of information about the agents included in the report:

  • Availability (Percent)

  • Average Download (mbps)

  • Average Upload (mbps)

  • Average Latency (ms)

  • Critical Alerts

  • Performance Alerts

The target performance section consists of displaying agents based on their test metrics for the following tests:

  • Ping (ms)

  • DNS (ms)

  • HTTP (s)

  • Traceroute (hops)

The agents performance section consists of test information for the agent:

  • Ping (ms)

  • DNS (ms)

  • HTTP (s)

  • Traceroute (hops)

Scheduled Test Report

The scheduled test report consists of five sections:

  • Scheduled Test Cards

  • Test Aggregates

  • Agents

  • ISP Quality

  • Test Performance

  • Warning Occurences

The scheduled test card section consists of cards for each scheduled test associated with the report.

The test aggregates section visualizes the test averages. These test averages can also be viewed by ISP by toggling on the Color By ISP button. Below is how the data can be visualized:

Iperf

  • Jitter (ms)

  • Bandwidth (Mbps)

  • Packet Loss (%) or ISP

Network Speed

  • Download (Mbps)

  • Upload (Mbps)

  • Latency (ms) or ISP

VoIP

  • Jitter (ms)

  • MOS

  • Packet Loss (%) or ISP

The agent section consists of information about the agents included in the report:

  • Availability (Percent)

  • Average Download (mbps)

  • Average Upload (mbps)

  • Average Latency (ms)

  • Critical Alerts

  • Performance Alerts

The ISP quality section consists of information about ISPs associated with the agents. This section is only available on network speedtest reports. Below are the definitions for how the agent categories work:

  • Download > 20 and Upload > 10 is Great

  • Download > 20 and Upload < 10 is Good

  • Download < 20 and Upload > 10 is OK

  • Download < 20 and Upload < 10 is Bad.

The test performance section consists of displaying agents based on their test metrics for the following tests:

  • Ping (ms)

  • DNS (ms)

  • HTTP (s)

  • Traceroute (hops)

The warning occurrences section consists of alerts that occurred in the report's date range.
